Americans US Party - Bylaws

 

Article I: Name and Purpose

 

Section 1: Name

 

The name of this organization shall be the Americans US Party (hereinafter referred to as “the Party”).

 

Section 2: Purpose

 

The Party is established to advance the Mission, Vision, and Philosophy Statements as adopted. It shall promote unity among all Americans, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, ethnicity, or economic status, through inclusive governance, equitable policies, and collaborative efforts to achieve equality, justice, and shared prosperity. The Party shall engage in political activities, including but not limited to candidate nomination, policy advocacy, and voter education, in alignment with these foundational statements.

 

Article II: Structure and Governance

 

Section 1: National Committee

 

The Party shall be governed by a National Committee consisting of elected representatives from state chapters, officers, and at-large members selected for their commitment to the Party’s inclusive principles. The National Committee shall oversee national operations, policy development, and strategic planning.

 

Section 2: State and Local Chapters

 

The Party may establish state and local chapters to facilitate grassroots organizing. Each chapter shall adopt bylaws consistent with these national Bylaws and the Party’s Mission, Vision, and Philosophy. Chapters must promote diversity in leadership and membership to reflect the Party’s commitment to inclusivity.

 

Section 3: Officers

 

The officers of the Party shall include a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and such other officers as the National Committee may deem necessary. Officers shall be elected by the National Committee for terms of two years and may serve up to two consecutive terms.

 

• The Chairperson shall lead meetings, represent the Party publicly, and ensure adherence to the Party’s inclusive philosophy.

 

• The Vice-Chairperson shall assist the Chairperson and assume duties in their absence.

 

• The Secretary shall maintain records, minutes, and correspondence.

 

• The Treasurer shall manage finances, ensuring transparency and accountability in all fiscal matters.

Officers must demonstrate a commitment to unity, diversity, and equity, and may be removed by a two-thirds vote of the National Committee for conduct contrary to the Party’s Philosophy.

 

Section 4: Committees

 

The National Committee may form standing or ad-hoc committees, such as Policy, Outreach, and Diversity Committees, to advance specific aspects of the Party’s Mission and Vision. All committees shall prioritize inclusive representation.

 

Article III: Meetings

 

Section 1: Annual Convention

 

The Party shall hold an Annual Convention open to all members, where major decisions, including platform updates and officer elections, are made. The Convention shall foster dialogue across diverse perspectives to embody the Party’s commitment to collaboration.

 

Section 2: National Committee Meetings

 

The National Committee shall meet at least quarterly, with provisions for virtual participation to ensure accessibility for members from all backgrounds and regions.

 

Section 3: Quorum and Voting

 

A quorum for meetings shall be a majority of members or committee participants. Decisions shall be made by majority vote unless otherwise specified, with an emphasis on consensus-building to align with the Party’s rejection of division.

 

Article IV: Finances

 

Section 1: Funding

 

The Party shall be funded through membership dues, donations, and fundraising activities conducted ethically and transparently. All funds shall support initiatives that promote equality and inclusion.

Every contribution will help us share our vision, engage communities, and build the infrastructure needed to establish a party that champions unity and progress. Please note that all funds raised will be held and not utilized until the party is officially formed, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Section 2: Accountability

 

The Treasurer shall provide annual financial reports to the membership. Audits may be conducted as needed to maintain trust and accountability.

 

Article V: Amendments

 

These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote at the Annual Convention or by the National Committee with subsequent ratification by the membership. Proposed amendments must align with the Party’s Mission, Vision, and Philosophy and be circulated to members at least 30 days in advance.

 

Article VI: Dissolution

 

In the event of dissolution, assets shall be distributed to non-profit organizations aligned with the Party’s inclusive principles, as determined by the National Committee.

                  

Membership Rules of the Americans US Party

 

Section 1: Eligibility

 

Membership is open to any U.S. citizen or legal resident aged 18 or older who supports the Party’s Mission, Vision, and Philosophy Statements. The Party welcomes individuals regardless of race, color, creed, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or economic status. No person shall be denied membership based on these factors, provided they commit to promoting unity and inclusivity.

 

Section 2: Application Process

 

Prospective members must submit an application via the Party’s official website or through a local chapter, affirming their agreement with the Party’s foundational statements. Applications shall be reviewed by a designated membership committee to ensure alignment with Party values, with approval typically granted within 30 days. There shall be no discriminatory barriers in the review process.

 

Section 3: Dues and Contributions

 

Annual dues shall be set by the National Committee at an affordable rate, with waivers or sliding scales available based on financial need to ensure accessibility for all. Members may also contribute voluntarily through time, skills, or donations to support Party activities.

Section 4: Rights of Members

 

Members in good standing shall have the right to:

 

• Participate in meetings, conventions, and decision-making processes.

 

• Vote in internal elections, including officer selections and platform referendums.

 

• Access Party resources, such as educational materials on policy and civic engagement.

 

• Form or join affinity groups to amplify diverse voices within the Party.

The Party shall actively encourage participation from underrepresented groups to embody its commitment to empowering every voice.

 

Section 5: Duties of Members

 

Members are expected to:

 

• Uphold the Party’s Philosophy by promoting unity, rejecting polarization, and engaging in respectful dialogue.

 

• Support Party candidates and initiatives through volunteering, advocacy, or other means.

 

• Comply with all applicable laws and Party rules, including those related to ethical conduct.

 

Section 6: Termination and Discipline

 

Membership may be terminated or suspended by a two-thirds vote of the National Committee for actions that violate the Party’s Mission, Vision, or Philosophy, such as promoting division, discrimination, or unethical behavior. Members shall have the right to appeal, with a fair hearing process emphasizing reconciliation and education where possible.

 

Section 7: Renewal

 

Membership shall be renewed annually upon payment of dues (if applicable) and reaffirmation of commitment to the Party’s principles.

Candidate Selection Process for the Americans US Party

 

Section 1: Principles Guiding Selection

 

Candidate selection shall reflect the Party’s Mission, Vision, and Philosophy, prioritizing individuals who demonstrate a commitment to unity, inclusivity, equality, and justice. Candidates must embody the rejection of division and polarization, with a track record of bridging divides and advocating for marginalized communities. Diversity in candidate slates shall be actively pursued to represent the full spectrum of American society.

 

Section 2: Eligibility Criteria

 

To be considered for nomination, individuals must:

 

• Be eligible under applicable election laws (e.g., age, residency, citizenship).

 

• Be a Party member in good standing for at least one year (waivable for exceptional cases by the National Committee).

 

• Submit a statement affirming alignment with the Party’s foundational statements and outlining their vision for inclusive governance.

 

• Undergo a background review to ensure no history of actions contrary to Party values, such as discrimination or unethical conduct.

 

Section 3: Nomination Process

 

Nominations may occur through:

 

• Grassroots Petitions: Candidates can gather signatures from a specified number of Party members (set by the National Committee, e.g., 5% of membership in the relevant jurisdiction) to qualify for consideration.

 

• Committee Recommendations: State or local chapters may propose candidates via their leadership, with input from diverse member groups.

 

• Open Calls: The Party shall issue public calls for nominations, encouraging applications from underrepresented demographics to foster inclusivity.

 

Section 4: Selection Methods

 

• Primaries and Caucuses: For major offices, the Party shall conduct open primaries or caucuses where members vote to select nominees. Voting shall be accessible, including options for mail-in or virtual participation, to ensure broad inclusion.

 

• Endorsement Committees: For local or non-partisan races, an Endorsement Committee (comprising diverse representatives) shall evaluate candidates based on criteria such as policy alignment, community service, and ability to unite constituents. Interviews and public forums shall be held to assess collaborative skills.

 

• Ranked-Choice Voting: Where feasible, ranked-choice voting shall be used to promote consensus and reduce polarization in multi-candidate fields.

The National Committee may approve alternative methods for special circumstances, always prioritizing transparency and equity.

 

Section 5: Evaluation Criteria

 

Candidates shall be assessed on:

 

• Alignment with the Party’s emphasis on equality, justice, and shared prosperity.

 

• Ability to represent and empower diverse voices.

 

• Policy positions that address systemic barriers in education, healthcare, economic opportunity, and environmental sustainability.

 

• Demonstrated commitment to dialogue and collaboration across differences.

 

Section 6: Appeals and Oversight

 

Decisions may be appealed to the National Committee, with a focus on fair process. The Party shall maintain transparency by publishing selection criteria and outcomes, inviting member feedback to continually improve inclusivity.

 

Section 7: Support for Selected Candidates

 

Once nominated, candidates shall receive Party resources, including training on inclusive campaigning, policy development support, and access to volunteer networks, to advance the Party’s vision of a united, thriving nation.
